 Also known as urea formaldehyde resin. UF for short. Processing molding occurs when crosslinking, products for the thermosetting resin insoluble not melt. Than phenolic resin after curing of urea-formaldehyde resin color shallow, translucent shape, weak acid, weak alkali resistance, good insulation performance, excellent wear resistance, low price, 37% of urea and formaldehyde under the catalysis of acid or alkali aqueous solution can be obtained condensation urea-formaldehyde oligomers, linear to industrial alkali as catalyst, reaction, around 95 ºC of formaldehyde/urea molar ratio is 1.5 ~ 2.0, in order to keep the resin to curing.
 

 

The first step of the reaction is to produce one and two hydroxymethyl urea, and then further condensation of hydroxymethyl and amino groups to obtain a soluble resin. If catalyzed by acid, it is easy to lead to gel. The product must be stored under neutral conditions. Linear UF resins can be cured at room temperature with ammonium chloride as curing agent. The molding powder is cured by heating at 130~160ºC, and the curing process can be accelerated by accelerators such as zinc sulfate, trimethyl phosphate and diethyl oxalate. Urea-formaldehyde resin is mainly used in the manufacture of molded plastics, household goods and electrical components, and can also be used as board adhesives, paper and fabric sizing, laminating panels, building decorative boards, etc. Because of its light color and easy coloring, products are often rich in color.
 It is also called as urea molding compound. It is produced by adding curing agent, filling, colorant and lubricant into the urea formaldehyde resin.

 

How to storage melamine?
A) Storage life: 6 months under temperature lower than 30° C

B) The goods should be stored in a dry, ventilated location. Avoid direct sunshine and moisture

C) The package should be sealed again immediately once the pack has been opened to avoid moisture

D) Avoid contact with eyes. Once splashed into eyes, flushed out with plenty of clean water.
